Migration

All forms of migrations in a business setting require careful planning and well-timed implementation.  TOS provides the following migration services:

• Data Migration
  Transferring data between storage types, formats or computer systems. It is most common in switching manual processes to automated ones, freeing up human resources.
  
  
• Hardware Migration
  Changing hardware infrastructures due to downgrading, upgrading or incompatibility with new company system. An example will be upgrading workstations for better computing performance and experience.
  
  
• System Migration
  Moving from one platform to another or using a different set of applications. It usually spells downtime while system migration is implemented. A scenario that involves this is when a company decides to use Linux OS for their workstations to avoid risks of virus infections but previously using Windows XP.
